How much engine braking do you get with a slipper clutch or can it be set up to only work on or close to wheel lock-up ?

Would a slipper clutch be able to cope with 6000miles a year or would I be...

A 170/60 tyre is fitted to a 5.5inch rim on the 900ss & I have definately talked to race teams that use a 170 rear tyre to assist in cornering

Has anyone tried using a 170 rear tyre on a 916/996 for road use to improve cornering ?
I believe 170 tyres are used on the race track.

Would the front tyre need changing to get the best from rear...
