Nope through the fuel pump opening. the fuel pump flange is around 20mm thick then has a couple of small cast turrets that the pipes fit to with hose clips.

At £1500 you are really looking at a 583cc Class B bike so would need tobe a Novice licence holder if racing it.

I repaired one on my 750SSie Minitwin about ten years ago, I managed to dig away a bit of the potting compound and solder a new wire on to the damaged one
