Found the problem. Bloody loom has burnt out. Where the rectifier connects has turned into a nice plastic blob, and a couple of wires have lost their sheilding. Hmm i feel a new loom coming on.

interesting thread this, as i suffer from the dead hand / numb 2 fingers after 25 mins on the 916, and anyway to lift the bars and bring them closer (without wheelying) would make this just a little... |
