If it's on start-up, most 748-996 do this. Something to do with the oil taking longer to get to the rear...

You'll probably find 10 mph off the top end with that setup.

I reguarly get only 90 miles till light on and concure with 20 miles reserve.

My bike runs quite rich due to chip installed...

I had a look at the 996R in P&H

and in my opinion, it's a minter. The rear is a 180 supercorsa which looks to be squared off (original tyre). The previous owner never had it to the edges or anywhere near.

I had the same problem a year ago ...

.... and it also happened after my first service. They adjusted the mixture and CO levels and then it was crap at low speed.

Took it to Sigma Performance and got FIM Ultimap. Runs rich now but never...

The chrome look you're mentioning is probably polishing. I had my ally marchesini wheels wet sprayed gold in the centre and polished rims. Cost £135 per wheel + VAT + tyre fitting + balancing....

and got it from Tecmoto. I needed to fit a mono one when fitting the ally sub frame. Was perfect fit, had to take all the rubber fittings from the other one but no probs otherwise

I'm trying to fit a new clock surround. To do this I need to remove the tacho and temp. I can remove the tacho easily but the rest is just a mistery.
