Have a look at the oil pipe unions,....oh yeah,some rocker covers can weep the black stuff too.

The only bikes I can remember with silver wheels was the much later TL version and the Cagiva Allazzura.

It is possible to get at it without removing the fairing,....unless you have one of the Casoli extended V pieces.

Its the heat build up that kills 'em.The origional units were mounted on a plastic tray under the battery near the exhaust.The later ones are mounted on an alloy plate that acts as a heat sink.
