Melted seat on a 749S BIP?

Has anyone had any treouble with their rear seat base melting and deforming on their 749S bip?

My mates just taken his back to Ducati Leeds for a warranty replacement but dont know if there is a fix...

Could you not discuss this with DLS and your nearest dealer to stop you having to travel so far?
