Don't overtighten the fork pinch bolts. They are only 19Nm, i've needed the 1/2" wrench on some of them followed by a big drift and hammer.

You need to remove the covers between the cams and you'll see the ends of the 4 rocker shafts. You need to pull out the 2 top ones, either all the way and let the rocker fall or just them about 3/4...

The other thing to watch for with the big pipes is that once you get much bigger than 54mm, you'll need the mag swingarm. it's longer so as to offer more clearance for the pipes....

Check the connectors from the alternator to the regulator. They can melt just the same as the later bikes.
Cut the cables back and fit new connectors. Make surethey are tight and tape them up.
