Yep, strip is easy, tools, patience, plenty of photos and label/bag everything inc loome connectors. Assuming nothing is terribly seized, strip to bare bones is a comfortable 4-5 hours....

After tapping all the paint out of the treads, a pile of cleaning, I was able to reassmeble the headstock, drop the motor in and :D

Frame's finally back from the painters, the engine's been to Alan for some power grease and the Bimota is almost rebuilt, so it looks like I'm going to have to start putting this airfix kit back...

I took the 1.6M loom and replaced the P8, ign modules and loom completely.

pretty easy really. Oh yes; I added the complete 996 engine too. LOL.

I have used the FIM 222 chip in the 1.6m ecu in my 888 and it's excellent. Total recomendation. It'll be interesting to see how it copes with all the uning work too.
