hi tongpo i live in Germany at the moment (its ok im not German) and drive a 999s so far the problems that i hace seen are.- 1. single seat subframe colapsing x4 2. lying cylinder coil and sparkplug failure due to conection problem at the plug and the v piece rubbing through the cable x6 3. standing cylinder coil LT cable chafing on the cylinder head bolt x2 4. rear wheel eats the numberplate and carrier due to the rear spring being to wheak for fast road work xall the guys i know x8 (only fix is a stonger spring" 5. the 999R with the non road legal end can and cpu has a massive power hole @ 5500 rpm(a well known problem so ducati say!) 6. replaced the compleate tacho unit under waranty now the immobiliser will not work 7. the radial pump for the brake changes its pressure point during hard riding and track work (999s+999r) ive had my 999s from may and covered 7000 km most of which was just track time ,used three sets of front pads and im on my second set of clutplates (stm 48t evo race) used no oil and two sets of plugs and broken two exhaust spings |
