| Ducati Factory Visit Went last week , ... great 1.5 hour tour , the guide was helpful and spoke good English. Ushered past the Corse bit ... no surprise there .... Interestingly, no yellow bikes in the factory at all. Couldn't have been a yellow week ..... Lots of red and black frames ... could see any titanium coloured stuff Black 749/ 999 swing arms .... Lots of black ( Multistrada / Monster / 999 ) ... and they look good. No Matrix Green, either !!  What I was really taken aback by is how labour intensive it all is ... stuff that should be done by robot just isn't. You can see where the difference in engine build etc can come from if Paolo or Sofia is having a bad day ...... Monsters in Black with two white racing Stripes, and red in the same style looked good ...... [Edited on 14-9-2004 by the phantom pieman]  |
