BDG:
I rang Maxton and agree with point 1 - excellent!
Regarding point 2 - he didn't have any!
Regarding 3 - 10.5 stone - does that make me a nymphette??
Seriously though - they were very helpful and unfortunately had no record of the previous owner - maybe it was the guy before that?
Unfortunately, there are no external signs that the conversion has been done - according to Maxton the only way to check is to strip 'em.
Richard at Maxton said to turn both adjusters all the way in and then back out 6 clicks. Then at least both will be equal.
During the winter I will send them off to Maxton for a service and then they can check what's inside.
The joys of buying used equipment!!!
Cheers,
Richard
