Summer / Winter insurance

Hmmm, just been re-reading the insurance tip on shopping around via fax and have started wondering about next years insurance.

Having bought a TD bike I can see that next years road riding is going to be limited - so....

Does anyone have a summer only policy and if so - how does it work? Do you still get a full years no claims and how do the premiums compare against a full years policy etc.

Shame we cant just have a premium per ride policy

My insurance is with Roadsure. If I lay up the bike for 3 months or more and let them know, they will knock 10% off my next renewal. After the discount last year's cost me £138 inc breakdown and protected NCB.
