The single injector modification is used to correct a fueling problem at small throttle openings specific to 1998-2000 996 Bipostos only. For more information go here:

Ducat workshop manual says 112hp for a standard 996 at the crank. So I'd take a wild guess that the standard 109horses for a 916 is at the crank too. Clever me! I worked that out all by myself.......
So 107 at the wheel's gotta be pretty good for just open pipes, squish set and a fuel remap. Makes the Ultimap seem like a good idea, especially as it is set for the engine it is working for and can be changed to suit any engine mods that you make.
