Good to hear you're keeping well Meester Mort.

Sounds like you're missing Blooduke though, better get back for a TD sharpish! I've heard that if you go more than 3 months without thrashing the pants off a duke you come out in a nasty rash and weeping sores. Besides, if I don't get to see you mono-ing Bloo down the start-finish straight at Silverstone then I'm sending the heavies round to 're-distribute' her to someone that will!

On the thumper front I'd suggest anything that they have dealers for over there would be best. I've spent months (literally) waiting for parts to clear customs for my landy, and it's worse than not having a car/bike in the first place.

On the importing front I'd recommend bribery. It'll never be a problem getting it back into the UK, so just make sure you can get it in to Nigeria in the first place. As you say, get the bike sent over without any wheels and passed through as 'spares' and then get the wheels sent over. Not sure how registering it for the road would work, but where there's a will...etc.

Good luck and let us know when you're back in blighty.

Cheers,

ali
