Mood: is it cos i is a bricklayer
i got them to go on my "spare"engine that is becoming a little project in itself- i picked the carbs up from a local scrapyard when i was hunting around for some taillights for a van apparently the owners son was into racing moto x sidecars a few years ago there was lots of different bits of bike laying around (couldnt recognise much tho) i think the carbs may have been used on a yamaha engine -i paid a pittance for them but with a bit of a clean i think they may be ok - well they fit which is always a good start!!!but the way my carbs are running on the bike on the road they may get used earlier than i anticipated!!!
i believe the flatsides give a smoother running thru out the range-the carbs on my 600SS only seem to be smooth on acceleration dont want to cruise much below 4500/5000 revs it becomes very lumpy and feels as tho its only wants to run on one cylinder till i give some then the thing flys and revs freely--- carb service needed i thinks!
