Donington today

Well, another wet weekend at Donington.....

Great to see so many familiar faces, and to meet some new ones. Thanks to CK and AK for transporting our tent and sleeping bags ! Also to those who supplied very welcome cups of Coffee, and to Psychlist for the loan of a dry pair of gloves (now sopping wet !!)

Good going to all our racers out there. The conditions were horrible and you went out there and did it anyway. In some cases greatly improved as well.

Also to Phoenix - we couldn't help but notice you weren't lapped in race 2 - just what you wanted, well done.

All in all, wet but a great day out.

We are chuffed to bits with the way the 'reincarnated' Snot mobile ran this meeting. Lots more to do - must get round to fitting the power commander which AK never fitted on his M900 special.

Finished 1st race in 4th & the 2nd race in 6th (without the 'guests' would have been 2nd & 5th ) Only blot was Mrs Snot getting water in her 'works' in the 2nd race, causing lots of misfire & accordingly not much pull at all in the 2nd half of the race

Andy rode blindlingly (big thanks again m'dear) - just would like more practice on her, as his best time was in the soaking 2nd race, till the misfire started on the 4th lap

Great to see everyone who popped by, or we collided with at some point in the day, and a big 'hello' to Tim from D (UK) for stopping by & nattering with us for a long time in the afternoon. (my CV will be in the post )

Roll on Brands....

Aye, was a good day, ESP after scaring CK senseless and nearly making half the 2nd qualifying group fall off their bikes laughing!

Race 1 highlight was watching CK beat senseless the two blokes either side of her! And TP's lovely daughters asking howz daddy doin, and standing on my feet :P Top kids you've got there mate.

Race 2 in my mind was the dogs dangliy bits, Ali rode an amazing race, TP looked liked he got his head down, and went hunting, and done well from a 20 something start.

Antony e and myself spent 15 minutes convincing Dickie to race in race 2, which he did, and spent it chasing down MW, and passing him on the last lap into Redgate, nice move. The grin Dickie had in the paddock was as big as any from Cheshire!

Also was good to see Ali collect his silverware from Snett, well done matey!

I can't wait till Brands! Dickie has told me, he's gonna dick the lot of ya's, so he says.........

i was going to post up to say that having people like you coming along to support and encourage me makes it all worthwhile even when i had a crap weekend race wise. now i'm not so sure!

luckily all the others on the grid are fully aware of my 'skill' on a bike and are unlikely to lose any sleep.

if it rains at brands i'm going home. :P
