recomended settings from hand book for 600SS
Hydraulic brake adjustment during rebound and comppression;spring preload-
turning the adjuster(the screw at the bottom of the shock)it is posible to modify the hydraulic braking of the damper during the rebound phase.
Recomended calibration;from the completely closed position(clockwise),loosen the screw by a total of 6 clicks
the knob on the reservoir will adjust the hydraulic damper during the compression phase from the completely closed position (again clockwise) loosen the knob by 25 clicks
the preload set by modifying the ring nuts 14 mm of thread showing

thats what the handbook recommends

Very many thanks! if i can sort the sproks and chain on my fzr tonight i will afterwards have a play with the shock on the duc! cheers

i am resurrecting this thread after i was nearly pitched off the thing last night
the front is very very bouncy over bumps and ripples - do they all do that sir?
