Parts

Ok. I ordered parts with the dealer over 2 weeks ago. Only one part in todate at the dealers. Does any one else have problems like this? These are not even big items just screws and washers for a mono unit.

Yep, only God knows where they came from...it took sooooooo long!

Perhaps thats the norm for Ducati parts, fingers crossed, I haven't need any more yet!

Only a few days ago someone posted about how the Ducati ordering system works. Apparently, they wait for enough orders for a minimum order quantity. It's just pot luck then really, whether a part is "ex stock" or "on back order". I've experienced both in the 3+ years I've owned Ducatis.

They don't tell you this when your ordering your part or buying a bike. What happens if you needed a body panel or something larger. Do you have to buy a second bike just to have parts to hand. Come on Ducati this is 2005 not 1960.

Do you have part numbers? Are they "special" bolts or conventional fasteners?
Drop me a mail, I may be able to help out????

If the parts are orderd from Italy you need to remember not to order in August as Italy goes on holiday during this month.
