| Lighter discs may well be the answer. When the 748R first appeared in 2000 (it came with the "snowflake" discs), I don't remember any mention of lighter wheels. From memory that rumour started in 01 when the R changed to the 9 spoke narrow band discs which are lighter than the "snowflakes" - can't remember by exactly how much though. |
