Well, I ran my fe on std 15/37, and always thought it could do with a 39, but simply changed down instead. In the end I sold it before I got round to trying a 39.
The beast runs with 15/41, and I feel like I want to change up all the time !
Unfortunately it has an 851 corsa rear with a special sprocket, so I havnt got around to getting a 39 yet
However, I think 15/39 is the best compromise, as the engine is much happier in its midrange than at peak revs, and that means valve clearances will stay better too
(btw - Anyone know the quick way for me to get a 39 corsa sprocket ?)

So - I wouldnt go to 14/38 myself, as its virtually the same as 15/41
Stick with 14/37, which is virtually 15/39 anyway !
