749R.....too much for the road ? over the top ?? have you ridden one ???
I for one, totally disagree, its the mutts !! anywhere !!!

the reason why its "over the top" ? - Homologation

Ducati -
"The 749R was designed with a single purpose: to race on the track. It's a true racing bike and, with a street legal homologation and plate, it can serve up thrills off-track as well."

"Once again it is the technology that makes all the difference, the high quality standard of each individual component, and the ability to transfer racing know-how to a bike destined for the public. Passion and a confidence-inspiring-ride are in the 749R DNA.

I for one, like the more futuristic shape of the 749/999 range
I also like the 748/916etc shape
but they are different animals
therefore, I think the 1200 pics look like some strange mating project between different animals, a sort of mongrel thing

Still - each to their own I say !
