 and you think ciruit trackdays are intimidating!
...Just got back from my first ever Trackday/practice day, on a motocross track...jjjeeeeeeezzzzus!
One track...no sessions, just turn up, pay your money and off you go.
All ages, all abilities out there together just going for it!
Cleared my first table-top today (well nearly!)...and the 'ol girl (1999 DR350 enduro bike (see avatar)!) did me proud! Despite a multitude of newer bikes (in fact both me and my mate were on the two oldest bikes out there) we didn't disgrace ourselves and had a blast trying to keep up with some of the more hardened boys out there. The suspension was having real difficulties trying to soak up the landings with my petit 15st on board, it was making some funny noises on landings!!! Note to self: bottoming out front and rear is not good form.
Next time we go the cameras coming with us...but man, what a blast and watching some of the fast guys go around and attack the jump sections...a real lesson in bike control.
If you ever get the chance to ride off-road, just take it and grin :-)  |
