Woo Hoo Expert advice from Nelly coupled with copious amounts of apple juice won the day for me. It appears I was too tentative in my original attempts at curing this problem even though I was hitting it pretty hard. Big hammer, resiting of bolts with 1/8 inch clearance from the back plate and a socket mounted on the bolt and a severe smack with the lump hammer had em on the retreat. Not all things need gentle persuasion, some just need a bloody good smack. Was still worried about damage though so had some courage giver handy  Joker What would YOU rather bee..........
