Leather cleaning/proofing what to use?

Keeping my Kinky Elvis boots is no easy task ya know.....

My trusty can of Nikwax (NOT Knicker-wax as my wife thinks) is almost empty and I wondered if there was anything more modern / better on the market these days.

My wife has a 'horsey' type friend who has given me some prrofing agent to try called Hyrdafane well I think thats how its spelt but I have not been able to find it on the 'net yet.

I've tried it on my precious boots and it seems just like neatsfoot oil to me but it apparently resists dirt and water, time will tell.

Here is an interesting link on the Nikwax site for biking gear:

http://www.nikwax.co.uk/uk/brochures/bike2.pdf

I just wondered what all you cool looking peeps out there used....

Hydrophane products are what we use for our 'horsey' stuff too- never thought of using it on the bike gear - but use Nikwax.... will have a go me thinks.....
