Point of information. "The Pink Panther" was a diamond. The master criminal (played by David Niven) in the film of the same name was called "The Phantom."
I only know this I am introducing my little boys to some classic humour and we are currently working our way through the
Pink Panther series of films. No matter how many times we watch it, the scene where Clouseau dismounts the parallel bars on the wrong side, over the bannister and down the stairs has us in tears every time.
