Resize your pictures...PLEEZ

Is there a possibility that people could resize pictures when they post them?...You really DO NOT get the full effect that you are after when you post your pics at about 2500 pixels x 1600.

They need to be at around 600x400 pixels...

PLEEZ!

There's shareware programmes available for this sort of thing, such as Image Transformer.
Tucows have other ones available. I haven't tried any of them; I use PaintShop Pro.

Anyone needing an image resized can email me the image (or a link to it), and I will email back a re-sized version.

Saving in .PNG format before uploading will also allow images to open faster for those with slow connections

I'd forgotten about .png format. It was meant to take over from jpgs once upon a time.
However, I just tried an experiment with a 4Mb jpg and a cut-down copy of it (6Kb, suitable for use as an avatar). The png versions were 40Mb and 36Kb!!!
Not sure that the pngs would actually load quicker.

Ok! Open the picture...
Go to the "editor" icon at the bottom of the image viewer window (looks like a little TV with a picture on it!)
Click it.
Go to image at the top of the page.
Then attributes.
Change the sizes.
AND BOBS YOUR UNCLE!
