Muppet award?

Nope, I haven't binned it

I'm just wondering if we need a similar DSC award for general stupidity.

You need an example?

In this wet summer (and now the mornings are getting colder), visor fogging has been a problem for me. My new Shoei lid has got much better ventilation than my old Shark (which needed an uncomfortable Foggy mask all year round to keep mist free) and kept clear much better, but in the rain I thought I'd whack in the pinlock insert.

Urrrrggghhh....horrible, I thought. This pinlock stuff is crap, the vision through it looks as if there's already a fine mist inside the visor, kinda milky...Thought I'd persevere with it for a few weeks until I could stand it no more, then whipped the insert out with several choice curses. Useless.

Then I was on a phone call this afternoon, idly playing with the pinlock insert which was on my desk...it was only then that I noticed...I hadn't taken off the scratch protector film.

DOH!

Come on...own up, we've all done it. I just think there should be a DSC award for being completely stoopid.

Most of us don't admit it though Jools

Good on ya mate!!

I've clammed up a couple of fogcity inserts - bloody things. I think I'll try a pinlock next time ...

Step son did it with his OGK black insert, he thought it was a bit dark, and could not see through it well, so everytime sun went away, he'd stop, take it out roll it up, place in jacket ride on. When sun came back out, he'd stop, and put the insert on.

He took his CBT on 1st October 2003, and put the insert in on 2nd October.

Fast forward, family meal at very nice pub, he's ridden the 'ped there, and decides to ask me my opinion. I spot the problem straight away. the date? 24th December 2003...............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
