A big thanks Part 2

Whilst organising the ACU course and test I got a u2u from fil2 (Phil) offering to take me up on the day. Cool, I'll get a chance to meet another competitor (and stick some nails in his tyres ... )

So he u2u's his address over and I drive up on Monday morning and find out the address is actually Fordie's place! Fordie opens the door with a perfect look of mystery on his face until I explain who I am and then it's all smiles, invites me in and get the kettle on. Even sticks some bread in the toaster for me - LEGEND!

I meet Phil for the first time and we have a chat, later on he explains the look on his face when we met by explaining that he thought I was 50 years old!!! 50!!!! I'm bloody 29!!! et Fordies wife and Kelly (Firefly). Chi turns up on his bike and we do the swapover thing with the bikes in the van and Fordie promptly organises space in the already crowded garage for my monster.

Phil drives me up to Rugby, following Mr SatNav up in my van and after a brief stop on the side of the road for some tree watering, we hit ACU house. 6 Desmo Duers in attendance. Each one of us trying to make the others eat more biscuits!

Afterwards Phil drives me back to Fordies place, makes some tea again and we have a little chat about Oz - Phil lived there for a bit, not far from where I lived in Brisbane. Thoroughly nice blokes, both Phil and Fordie and thanks for everything on Monday. So I get my gear on, including thermals!! and after checking the monnie over for sabotage head back to London.

So there you have it, fil2 and Fordie - bloody elitists!!

There see. How much does 4D do for this club?

Vast amounts.

Actually, Fordie. You wanta be careful. Are you looking after your business properly. When did you last do a full day's graft? If you need any advice about pending bankruptcy due to lack of business diligence, I'm ya gal (or game old bird, as you prefer to say)
