Bike sale question

Got a call for a company called www.Motorlink.org today looking details on my 998bp thats for sale , saying they have clients interested in my type of bike
Sounds good so far ,they gave me all the company details and everthing looks straight , but they are looking 80quid from me thats refundable if the bike is as i say is , when a buyer looks at it

Anyone any dealings with the company

Nope, but that's the usual scam, give them your money because they have people in your area who want your bike and they'll put you in touch, better be ready for the rest mate, I had them for 6 months after selling my bike.

Guess you advertised in MCN or such like?

Avoid these types of unsolicted canvassing. I've heard many stories like this. They won't really have any "clients" interested. Stick to the usual methods of selling, and don't hand over 80 quid!

I'm not an expert on buying or selling either bikes or cars, but it sounds like a well known scam to me.

Give them 80 quid and never hear from them again. Think about it. As a buyer, would you register interest with a broker or would you look on eBay or Autotrader yourself

If they have people in your area who are after a bike, how come the potential buyer didn't get in touch themself?

tell them to swivel

Steve this is what I said when they phoned, I gave them the chance to sell the bike and if they did I'd give them £80 then, funnily enough they didn't seem to keen on that though
