Race class Next year

Both classes will have excellent racing next year..competative fun and filled with good mateship..exactly the same as this year but double the fun......i mean how good is it going to be to go out in your class race then come back and be able to watch your mates out there race.!?!?!..its one part of the DD next year im really looking forward too.

Each class has it merits and each class will offer top racing for anyone that chooses to enter it ( unless rossi enters then he will get bored lol )....other than that all of us had our battles this season and where you finish is not as important as finishing the race with a smile a mile wide cos you battled with sum1 all race......................true.?...

it really is NOT about class A or class B as both classes will be just as competative and enjoyble..its about which you choose to race in based on budget and criteria...........other than that we are all out there racing on what is proposed some of the best UK circuits..Donny Cadwell Oulton and maybe even Assen..!?!?!?!?

We have new blood entering next year with all the excitment and anticipation that brings...!! we all have a year of experience we can hit the ground running next year..!! bikes fettled over the off period............

its gonna be fantastic........lets just get away from the class A is the " Premier class " or the class b is the " Cheapo "...........Its all the DD and OUR race series and each class will be looked upon equally.

in the infamous words of Rattler

" bring it on " next year that is...........

Phil

I agree totally Phil - it won't stop the comparisons or the banter though!!!!

Friendly banter is an important part of the build-up to races - IMHO.

One of the problems (causes) may be the use of the word "class" ??? Perhaps "section" or "group" or similar may help???

Just wait 'til we get the laptimes and the 583 boys will be seeing where they compare to the 620s !!! - then there'll be banter.

I wish I could race in both classes - I was tempted, but voted against this in the best interests of the series.

I am looking forward to actually watching some DD racing next year - apparently its well worth the entrance fee alone!!!

Tim

But you're selling your 620... I don't understand... Will you still race in DD next year? I think I missed something

very well said phil. i have to say i've been a bit corcerned with a bit of the jumping ship to the 583 class as thats where is perceived the fun will be.

re the naming of the series; i think it would be far better to call them the DD583 class and the DD620 class rather than A and B which bring the obvious connotations. both have equal merits as racing series, the only difference being the capacity imho.

What is Class A and Class B, and what are the respective merits?

How have the rules changed, and are the two series now open to all comers?

Only curious like.

eligibility still being discussed but still very much DSC series for both series. not really many real differences apart from capacity.

Sorry about that Dickie. When I wrote that I thought the fun would be in the 583 class, that's only because I didn't want to say the truth which is more like "I can't keep my 620".

Of course I think the fun will be the same in both series, but isn't it a typical human/rider/French/boy behaviour than saying "the best class (section...) will be mine"

Agreed about the class connotations.

And I think DD600 woulkd be better than DD583... Why not calling the small D2 engine by it's real name? That would help people outside the DD world to understand what's going on inside it... Nobody knows the 583 Monster
