Machine mart do some good deals on "sets". Bench cupboards etc. Saves a couple hundred quid over buying them seperately. There's also some eBay shops selling benches cupboards to that look ok.
I just used second hand kitchen units and worktops.
( Ask around and see if anyone you know is having a new kitchen fitted and offer to take the old one out for free - you will have a built in degreasing sink too )
Far cheaper than 'proper' kit and just as effective.
I picked up a 2mtr length of kitchen work top from B&Q that was damaged on one corner and being sold in the off cut department for a £5. A few pieces of "stud work" timber from Wickes and I have a very sturdy bench, custom fit to my garage.
