Bruntingthorpe help!!

I have a good friend who has fullfilled a strong yearning for a chance to join the 200mph club. He is 61 years old , used to do bike sprints during the 60's - 70's. He is in remission from cancer.
But he wants to do a day at bruntingthorpe. He has asked me for help, but i can find no dates on the web, Has anyone any contacts or advice that i could give him. I suggested that he come with me to Germany but he is unable as he is a full time carer for his mother who is 100 this year. . . the family have allways had bike connections, his dad used to race speedway at Stamford Bridge and Greenford from 1928 to 1933.
Any help would be gratefully received.

woodbridge base nr ipswich suffolk (ex us air force) hire the runway out from time to time for high speed shannanigans..might be worth giving it a look...all the best to your mate

Woodbrige has come up in conversation but thought ithad a fairly short runway, more akin to 1/4 mile , but will look into it.
Could do re the contact for brunters, job for next week.

Get up there with Johnatan Palmer's lot. They'll take him out in one of the Maclarens or Jag 220s.

He's well able bodied, just not going to do anything near that on the road. Just needs somewhere to get up to speed and push the bike.

If you can send me a U2U with an e mail address. I can ask our Testing team if they have any contacts there. We used to use it for High speed testing and daft trailer towing assessments. Also let me know when you need to know by.

Might be worth trying RAF Odiham,RA Thorney Is and maybe best of all Dunsfold which is where they film top gear.
