Following the change over to our new server, some people have been having problems getting logged on to the board. Typically this results in not being able to post messages or reply to messages - you don't even see the reply button!
If you're having problems logging in, do the following steps:
1) Test your browser to see if it can accept 'cookies' - these are used to control your access to the board and some browsers have these turned off. To check your system
click here - at the end of the test any failure is displayed together with how you can update your settings. Note that you may have to close your browser and re-open it to activate new settings.
2) Check your firewall software (if you have any) - there have been reports that ZoneAlarm prevents the cookies from working correctly. At the time of writing this we don't have a list of what needs changing in the firewall software to enable cookies. To check if it is your firewall sowftare, just turn off the firewall for a quick test (see above) and when complete you can turn on your firewall again. If the system works correctly with the firewall disabled, you will need to change some of the settings on the firewall software - send an email to the webteam and we'll put a message up on your behalf asking for assistance.
If after all this, you still can't get logged in send us an email giving your board name and we will try to help.
