Cool 996s clutch slave

Hey! Suffered the dreded clutch bite point moving to the handlebar and managed to isolate it to the slave cylinder.

Great, quick check on ebay for a secondhand one (approx £15-£20) and then a call to 3 Cross for a new one (£37 inc VAT) - I decide to get a new one for less hassel factor and go to order it. I am then told that the 996s clutch slave is different (it would be!) and the price is nearly £70.

Does anyone know if this is true? All the ads for uprated slave cylinders say they fit all models? My other option is an uprated piston with a dual seal (approx £35). Has anyone used one before?

Thanks for any info

I've got the uprated piston with dual seal but its only any good if the cylinder is in good condition in the first place which mine wasn't so i had to get a new one of those as well. Can't remember how much it all came to, nelly at www.cornerspeed.co.uk sorted me out as always.

I had an uprated dual seal piston from Nelly as well, worked a treat, like you say, just get onto Cornerspeed.
