Superlight / SS exhaust alignment?
can someone please confirm that SL exhaust ends are NOT normally aligned to each other?

No wonder I've had probs trying to set them up; this pic of RJ's SL is what is making me think this way, note the off-set:

I've been trying to get the outlets in line with the indicators - and while we are at it - is the SS also the same???

My bike came with Carbon race cans, so I cant remember what a std setup is really meant to look like.

Cheers - Frank

Frank, I'm only guessing at what you mean as the image didn't show up, but maybe your headers are not centred, or they're not mating fully at the join behind the engine causing the downpipe from the rear cylinder to be twisted/rotated slightly..just guessing. The pipes should be aligned at the indicators, for sure. Of course your cans could be asymmetical, just like mine: My Sil Motor hi-level cans have completely different curves. And they're almost 20mm too short for the hangers they come with so that they don't seat properly and wobble about. The seal is bad so I have to gob it up with ally tape and small animals. Folk say Sil Motor are top quality but I'm not impressed. But I've lived with them for 2 years. Bah.

Good call, my friend - but I suspect it really is that the LH exit of the header pipe has been angled wrongly.

I'll try and attach a pic of my new headers:

I think I know what you mean. My carbon termis don't line up exactly when viewed from behind. One is very slightly higher than the other. Standard headers. Not really noticeable unless you are really looking.

Probably the best thing to do is to sell me that spagetti header system and you can have my standard headers
