Thumbs up New mobile phone? Remember your In Case of Emerg No (ICE)

The idea is that you store the word "ICE" in your mobile phone address book, and against it enter the number of the person you would want to be contacted "In Case of Emergency".
In an emergency situation, ambulance and hospital staff will then be able to quickly find out who your next of kin are and be able to contact them. It's as simple as that, and for more than one contact name you can use ICE1, ICE2, ICE3 etc.

There's more info on the East Anglian Ambulance NHS Trust Website:

Cheers - Frank

Yes it's very good idea, i've been doing that for the last 3 months!

You might have to though if you're phone remembers if you like the same number that's used with a name on there, cos it changes it, so you might have to save one number as the person to phone say, and the ICE number to SIM. or it doesn't work.

Ace idea though, Sussex/Kent recognise it now too

There was a thread about this a long time ago and how it was being used to get money from your phone.

Not sure what became of the subject but perhaps you should be cautious!
