Why does this petition need your home address?

So that they can keep track of all of those who are rejecting the proposals of course - as they are probably the fools who speed along our roads in the first place!!!!

Bear in mind that its a Government Website.

Should really read - will all those idiots who speed along our roads - please enter ALL of your personal details here so that WE can keep and extra beedy eye on you - our bank account is looking a bit deflated of late - cheers in advance - PM!

LOL

What a brilliant political tool; I can hear the Minister at a future date now "Well, in our usual way, we opened this up to public debate on our website so we could heed the feelings of motorists in general and in fact people were invited to object to the proposals by petition, this resulted in only 14.5% of all motorists being against the proposals so it was obvious to us that a large majority were in fact in favour, so once again, as a thoughtful and listening government, we have introduced legislation favoured by the majority.........blah, blah, blah"

Added my name and sent the PM an e-mail about the infringement of the Human Right to quiet enjoyment of family life. It's a bit of a catch 22 though. If you want to enjoy a quiet family life, don't live with your family. If you want to be able to to see them without paying this tax, move in with them.

if this happens i will seriouslt consider leaving the uk. If you pollute you should pay but without having to tell the government where you went via what route and at what speed. its big brother all right and nothing to do with pollution. if it were they would just increase fuel duty

Hear Hear

We've been looking into moving to Canada for precisely this reason, we don't want to bring kids up in this country the way its going.Everything seems to be done for the wrong reasons. Funny how the decision to allow us to buy Alcohol/Cigarettes/Goods from abroad was stopped or was that because the government would lose too much tax revenue??
