First Road Knee Down, When,Where and what Bike?

Mine was 1998, Yamaha Thundercat, out in deepest darkest surrey somewhere, near Boxhill...

Mate who owned a Blade took me out to this most perfect of roundabouts and thats where the cherry was popped...

Ahhhh!!! You never forget the first time..

On a roundabout near my local Tescos. Didn't realise I was doing it at the time (oops!), I just noticed the scuffs on my slider afterwards. On my 999S. It was in, um, 2003. Doesn't happen for me very often on the road.

Never had my knee down on the road, hardly even on track either for that matter.

On my ST2 at what I think they call 'Netty's Nook' corner at Rockingham's National circuit (it's the tight right hander at the back of the circuit, just after you come round a very fast and bumpy right hand sweeper, along a short straight then into said corner and up the hill towards the Marshall's hut).

Knee dabbed down on the kerbing at the apex. I was so surprised that it was a case of "what the feck..." and I promptly sat the bike up again before I realised what it was.

It was such a grin afterwards that I tried it again the next lap and managed to get my knee down again...only this time followed by my ass, my elbow etc...

Only get the occasional snick of slider on the road, once or twice a year...can't drag my knee all the way through like some folks
