I am missing my sports , being a KIWI in Sweden and sick of ICE HOCKEY, ice skating, ski jumping, bandy ect....... has anyone ever tried to get SKY outside of the UK? Is it possible ?? Thanks
We were wondering the same. It is possible in germany where we have a place, but we need an additional box registered as an extra for the uk dwelling , then just get a dish and point it at the satelite and away you go. But a non kosher setup would be better. How can it be done??
I Used to get it in Germany when i was posted out there, Its all unnoficial of course, We needed to register the Card at my folks address in the Uk as they cant legaly supply out of the uk. Not sure if its changed tho as this was 6 years ago. I seem to remember when i Bought the satelite dish it came with a map that gave rough angles and degrees to get you in the ball park for reception and it did cover a fair amount of europe. HTH Glyn

yep will work anywhere in the World, that’s the thing about satellites, they go around the world. We take our Sky card when we go on holiday, put it in the box and bobs your uncle, fanny's your aunt. Sky TV. Can't always get all of the pay sport and films that we would in the UK.

Hi Rick & Doogalman,
Just go here http://www.germansky.com/ i did mine through them, and i live in Denmark they deal with everything send you the box and card, you just need to get a dish sorted out with your local dish installer and bobs your uncle
These days cards and box are married together as far as i know one will not work without the other
Not quite true Ian, the Sky satellite will be in a geostationary orbit (which means that its orbiting at the same speed as the earth so its relative position to the ground never changes) otherwise your dish would need to track it as it moved across the sky. The Sky one will somewhere well to the south of the uk which is why all the dishes point that way. The further north you go the lower the angle will be as well and eventually the horizon will get in the way. Maybe sky have some sort of roaming agreement so you can get their signal of other peoples satellite?
