How many like naked...
race bikes?

Do many bikes on the grid run fully naked or is at least some form of aerodynamics recommended? At most I'll have a nose fairing, but I'm considering leaving this off (partly because the bracket obscures the VIN, and I read somewhere this will be actively checked this season? )

I've seen various threads about aeros, "which fairing" etc and read the performance bikes (I think?) article with the Diversion 600 where aeros helped top speed more than similarly priced engine mods.

So, I think the answer is "in theory, aerodynamics helps, especially top speed", but are there any full naked bikes in DD?

Fairings -

Pros - hides all the wiring, gives you somewhere to put your sponsors' stickers and supposedly helps top speed

Cons - need to make brackets up, a bit more weight to carry and more to fix or replace if you crash

Me - I compromise with a 916 nose fairing and a monster bellypan......
