breaking bones vs bouncing well...

I am fairly well known for my ability to have the odd mishap here and there but come out of it with limited injuries.

In my time I have had a few accidents that would have had alot of folk in plaster, but luckily for me i 'bounce' well. Very rarely do i actually break anything (collarbones and fingers excluded)

well, once again I have proved my bouncing ability...

After a sad sequence of events I found myself in a somewhat undignified pose wedged at the bottom of the stairs after a rapid but ungraceful decent. :P

After some time and some minor adjustments I can report that I have no broken bones (well none that are apparent) and this morning I was able to walk despite the bruising and large swellings on hip, both knees and right arm.

Just got to start some exercise as we are off on holiday in a week

Am I the only one that bounces this well? Maybe I should cancel the diet in case i lose my extra padding and dont bounce as well??

I find it helps if you're pished when you fall over

Seriously though, it helps if you can fight the instinct to tense up. Relax and go with it and you're more likely to bend than break.

Same is true when you bin it (always helps if this is on a track though and you don't have cars to hit), what is it that Keith Code says "if you're not prepared to fall off then don't get on a motorcycle", or words to that effect, "but if you do fall off, try and relax and let a lot of your leathers take a little bit of a beating rather than a little bit of you leathers taking a lot"

Maybe thats why i don't break things???

After many many years of doing daft things i guess i have sussed the landings...

having said that, i always land on my right side no matter what! I reckon when i am old i will have one side that just wont function and one thats just dandy....

Despite me carrying a little more "padding" than you Lil' i've never bounced well.
I've been lucky enough not to had a need to but never come out of it very well.........
Had a "bump" in the car when i was 19 that was more a bounce around and break something on everything that I hit
Both legs, both knees, skull, jaw, teeth, abdomen and a few cuts..........

Nope.........I don't bounce

Ive had lots of "falls"...(not all when drunk :P )...Perhaps the relaxing thing has something in it because everytime it happens the first thing I do is laugh...
Other than bruising Ive never broken anything...always a first time though I spose.

I think tha scariest fall was holding a 2 week old baby and falling from the top of the stairs to the bottom...BIG carpet burns on arms, back and elbows, and baby still asleep when I reached the bottom in a heap!
