I did say something was missing, and I have to say gaz you are right on all those points but they do go like stink and I like the idea of gear driven cams.

It's a personal thing, this biking lark and the guy who bought my SP came all the way from Swansea because he wanted it so badly, having just written one off!

If you can afford a Ducati and afford to keep it serviced properly, there is nothing else like it and on real UK roads, the Ducati rider will havbe a much nicer time of it than the bloke on the SP, as it is so much more rideable.

If you are on a bit of a budget though, the H machine costs far less to service, is more robust and will last, even if you thrash it all the time (which is difficult, because as you say S.P., they are so quick). But..
It don't sound like Duke, it certainly don't look like a Duke and it won't put a grin on yer chops like a Duke.
