Just watched classic albums on BBC2, All about Pink floyd's dark side of the moon, best enjoyed without interuption, bottle of good wine(or bad if it's all you have), good hi fi, and at a decent volume. It's a very good way to kick back and relax for a while(although being a bit of a classic emotional soundtrack it allways leaves me feeling refreshed and alive by the end)
Superb album, which reminds me, I must go out and get it on CD. Except that Pink Floyd CDs are all extremely over-priced in the shops, which is why I don't have many PF CDs.
Oh, wait ... duh, buy it on-line! Sorry, it's early.

have just read "inside out" by nick mason, fantastic insight into pink floyd....deffo my favorite band, can remember buying "animals" in 1977, when i was a mere school boy....was a shame sid barrett necked to much acid and lost the plot, i`m sure he would have gone on to be one of the best song writers ever.....
Uncle P "Piper at the Gates of Dawn" is one of may bestest favourite LPs - but I don't have it on CD cos it costs twice as much as other CDs based upon LPs. I refuse to pay 70 minute CD prices for 40 minute CDs of 35+ year old music! Call me cheap ... but be prepared to buy me a drink at the same time!
They did a dvd of this program. Loads of extra footage. One dvd i dont regret buying. Best album ever, could and have listened to it thousands of times. Look on the net for the dvd
