One note of caution.......if the wheels were stripped back to bare metal prior to the lovely blue-bling respray, they should have been treated with a chemical conversion coating such as Alodine 1200.

If not, there is a possibility that the corrosion resistance of the wheels may be compromised.
It won't matter in the short run, but after some time you will find filiform corrosion developing beneath the paint finish. If this is not removed, the structural integrity of the wheels could be reduced (the strength of mag alloy that has turned to powder is very low!).

If you got them correctly primed - forget the above.

By the way, where did you get them done?

Cheers,

R X

The company that did these work on Ferrari wheels and Lotus racing wheels (mags), they told me the process something to do with etching or something, I was too busy looking at the wheels to hear what he said.

I know he isn't in any hurry to sell his bike yet, but if he does then it would be possible to get the wheels back. If you can wait a while maybe a long while......
