Ducati Monster wins the 2026 Red Dot Design Award

  • The Ducati Monster receives the Red Dot Design Award – Product Design 2026, one of the world's most prestigious international awards dedicated to product design
  • The jury recognises the fifth generation of the model introduced in 1992, which reinterprets a Ducati icon through a contemporary design language while preserving its identity and distinctive character
  • The award adds to the many international design awards received by the Italian motorcycle manufacturer over the years

Borgo Panigale, Bologna (Italy) 8 August 2026 – The new Ducati Monster has been honoured with the Red Dot Design Award – Product Design 2026, one of the world's most prestigious international awards dedicated to product design. Established in 1955, the Red Dot Award is presented each year by an independent jury of international experts, recognising products that stand out for excellence in design, innovation, functionality and aesthetics.

The award celebrates the latest evolution of a model that, since its debut in 1992, has redefined the concept of the sporty naked bike through a formula as simple as it is brilliant: "everything you need, nothing you more." An idea that has made the Monster one of the most iconic and recognisable motorcycles in the world.

Introduced in 2025, the new Monster carries this heritage into the future through an entirely new project, combining lightness, technology and a contemporary, instantly recognisable design language. More compact, essential and sporty, the new Monster recalls the elements that have defined its identity since the very beginning: the headlight framed by the “shoulders” of the bison-back tank, the one-piece seat, and the short, lightweight tail section. It is precisely the result of this stylistic evolution, remaining faithful to its identity, that won over the Red Dot Design Award jury.

With the award presented to the Monster, Ducati continues its long tradition of success at the Red Dot Awards, which over the years have also recognized the 1199 Panigale (2013), the XDiavel S (2016), the Diavel 1260 (2019) and, most recently, the Diavel V4 (2024).

On the official Ducati website, it is also possible to book a test ride or plan a visit to the nearest Ducati dealership.
