Inside out BBC Yorks

Anyone see the perplexed traffic cop from Lincs on tonights prog? He was full of the Speed Kills mantra. They took him to Germany where he couldn't get his head round the speeds people we driving at on the Autobahns and not killing themselves en masse.

He didn't have an answer when he was asked why the death rate on unrestricted roads was not as high as in Lincs where he pursued road users with zeal.

That and the news about lasers accuracy being called into question again, driver test pass rates being about statistics looking right more than peoples ability to pass might mean that the powers that be might be starting to realise that speed on its own doesn't kill. Ever the optimist?
