The Bip has been really slow in turning over so I thought I check the normal stuff like voltages (to see if the regulator has not gone awol) - I've got some very strange readings from the digi voltmeter.
Across the Battery getting 12.9 - 13.0 v no engine running At tickover I was getting 16.5 - 16.7v and above 3k rises to around 17.4v?
This sounds a bit odd to me - the starter still turns over like a dog though and after a spins won't turn the engine over at all - any thoughts, anyone?
P.S. the connectors look good from the regulator i.e. no burning or crap....
If you're measuring this across the actual battery posts/terminals, then I would think the battery's had it. A good battery would allow the voltage to rise that far. It would absorb it as a charge.
