Ouch, I\'m hurting.......

Yesterday, I rode my 748 a total of 398 miles to Doncaster and back for the funeral of one of the guys from the Hercules crash in Iraq.
13 of us rode there and back in convoy. That is officially the furthest I have ever ridden in one day, let alone on the 748, previous best would be about half that.
But BOY can I feel it today, my back, neck, shoulders, upper arms, wrists, hands and especailly knees are absolutely killing me!
Although it hurt me the bike was faultless, especially the last 70 odd miles on the A429 from Warwick to here
Don't think I'll be doing it again in a hurry though!

I was aching like an old man after just doing 100 the other day !! 'Orrible snapping sensation in my neck when I moved it (bolts must be working loose!!!) - just not back up to speed for the new season yet I guess..!!!

Jen - Was that you I met at Turnpike last year with those bits for a 748..?

Cheers

Nat

I rode back from Nellys mid Jan 120 miles in the dark. Got off like John Wayne & never to walk the same again.
Previous to that the furtherst i'd been was about 20 miles so wasnt used to the position at all.

I rode from the Gold Coast to Sydney (bit over 900 km's, 560 odd miles) in 8 and a half hours on a 250 sportsbike that redlined at 16,500 RPM and I held it just below the whole way in 30 degree heat in black leathers!

Only stopped for fuel and a drink to rehydrate.

Get hard you lot!

Actually, I did that trip 4 times ...

On our French trips we do over a 1000 miles on a long weekend, I find my 996 very easy to ride long distance but then I am a short arse
