I know this has been mentioned before but could someone give a definitive answer to what is needed, how big and what has to go in to them please?????
Will the stock breather/tank/airbox assembly serve as a suitable assembly for the engine breather system? Would simply a self tapper in the bottom of the plastic tank under the seat suffice as a drain???
Also the fuel catch tank. Does it have to be flame proof, etc.
Do the catch tanks require that are are sealed? I guess so?
The Desmo Dues rules don't specifically mention them but I know they are required by the ACU rules which I don't have a copy off...........
"Oil Catch tanks & breather systems. Where an oil breather is fitted the outlet must discharge into a catch tank located in an easily accessible position and which must be emptied before the start of the race. The minimum size of a catch tank shall be 250cc for gearbox breather pipes and 500cc for engine breather pipes."
This is not an altruistic gesture - it's my bike that he's got to fit it to!
also just saw that "Any part of the streamlining which faces rearwards, must be finished with rounded edges of 3.5mm min. radius."
Since I will only have the SS top fairing this probably means the sharp pointy bits at the bottom will be expose. Nelly, would you mind breaking out the dremel?
