Advise pls, Hotel + holiday parking needed - Manchester airport.

Well here comes the feeble excuse for missing Round 3 of the DD series, as I'll be jet and Disney-lagged after coming back from Florida on the same day

So, recommendations pls for a nice (cheap and cheerful hotel near the airport with 15 days parking) 2 adults, 1 screaming 5 year old madam...

or is there a better way of doing this?

e.g. - seperate hotel and maybe on-site parking? Dunno....
There seems to be LOTS of people on the net offering stuff, Ive found Travel lodge doing £89 for overnight stay + 15 days parking but its quite a way from the airport.

And at the other end - the Radisson offering the same for £145 but there is a direct walkway into the terminal, I quite fancy doing this just for the lack of hassle parking and shifting cases etc etc etc.

Cheers - Frank

I don't know bout hotels but for the parking I just park in the long stay near T2. You stick your credit card in at the barrier as you go in and again when you return and it debits the fee. I think it was about £45-£50 for 7 days. I have used it the last few times with no problem at all. I usually drop my girlfriend off with the bags etc to get in the queue whilst I park up and walk to the terminal (5 mins) as I can never be bothered waiting for the buses.

If you can get a cheap hotel, I may be able to help you out with the parking. Let me know the dates and times (via U2U if you don't want to post them)...

You can park at my house if you want. I'm about an hour and half away from the airport ..... Lots of local companies run mini cabs to the airport though. Might work out cheaper than long stay parking perhaps???

I've used APH in the past - 10min shuttleto Manchester Terminals - very good & if you are an AA member ( or one of those flying is.... ) you get a good discount.

Very many thanks for the kind offers - they really are appreciated.

However, the important bit here is the overnight stay before as we need to be at check-in for 7:25am sadly on the Sunday morning.

Even worse - it's my wifes 40th on the same day - so I had better treat her a bit!

Bewleys Hotel at the airport comes highly recommended already and its only a few miles from Terminal 2, so we can still have a decent breakfast before running off to check-in.

Cheers - Frank

I must look up the Ducati dealers and suppliers in Florida sometime
